Creative Xmod: Get Better sound out of your Player

Creative-Xmod.jpg
This is a very interesting gadget: the Creative Xmod. It's an external device to improve the quality of the audio signal, especially thos produced by Mp3 Players. It connects between the headphones and the player jack. It supposedly 'upconverts' the musit to high quality 24-bit surround audio.

Users be warned though: It is impossible to recreate the ORIGINAL high quality source from the mp3 file. These type of gadgets try to fix the known audio problems which come out of the down-sampled mp3 files, but it will not magically recreate the original sound. Even so, it will most likely sound better, as some of these take in account the crappy headphones most people use with their portable audio device.
