evergreen_eg-hpm.jpgEvergreen released two models in its newest MP3 player line, dubbed the EG-HPM. The audio player is a neckband headphone type of player. The EG-HPM will come in 256MB and 512MB.

The EG-HPM comes with a 96x64 pixel three color built-in EL display housed on the left hand side of the unit. The unit can display in Japanese, supports ID3 tags, and also displays song titles as well as bit rate information.

The audio player can playback both MP3 and WMA formats. The bit rate for MP3 files is 32~320kbps and the bit rate for WMA files is 48~192 kbps. Further, using the built-in stereo mini jack, direct encoding of MP3/WMA files is possible.

Using the built-in mic turns the EG-HPM into a voice recorder. The built-in FM tuner when used in conjunction with the built-in mic means one can record their favorite radio program. The player records in either MP3 or WMA format, and there’s even a stereo mini out jack.

The EG-HPM connects to a computer via USB 1.1 and appears as a USB storage class device when connected. There are 6 preset equalizers on the player including rock, classical and pop. The unit is powered by an internal rechargeable lithium polymer battery which takes about 2-3 hours to fully charge and provides 15 hours of playback time. The player is compatible with Windows ME/2000/XP.

The package includes a USB cable, analog audio cable and interchangeable ear pads made of rubber. The outer dimensions are 1.9"x2"x0.6" with a weight of 1.3 oz.
