New: BenQ unveils Joybee MP3 player

In an effort to extend its leadership in the local MP3 player market and achieve its goal of taking 20% of the market this year, BenQ recently launched its Joybee 220 MP3 player, which will be priced at NT$5,690 (US$181) for a 512MB version and NT$6,990 (US$223) for a 1GB version.

The Joybee 220 features a 1.4-inch 65,000-color screen, a built-in Tri-S (sound studio suite) audio IC and sound adjustment technology for optimizing various musical formats.

BenQ will offer 5-6 new MP3 player models in the second half of this year, with one model being equipped with a hard disk drive and another being featured in a PMP (portable multi-media player)
